After a couple of weeks of hard work and 2 major migraines my deviantART ID is finally complete! This piece had more planning chucked at it than all my all my previous pieces put together =/ I had a vision in my head of exactly what I wanted it to be like and actually managed to get it all in as well (which doesn't uaually happen- usually I have so many ideas they won't all fit.. or they clash). All's I have to do now id slap my name on it somewhere

I tried out a lot of new stuff on this piece- some new ways of colouring and new ways to indicate lighting and shadow, but the main difference I made here was with the colouring- I introduced many more colours than I usually do, especially in the lighting and shadows. I also experimented a little bit more than usual with blending modes.

I would like to give many thanks to the people that helped me out with this one- for giving me advice on how to make more realistic blood spatter, for his support and helpful crits (and also for sharing his knowledge with me ), and also to GamingW forums for their suppoort and comments on the lineart when I posted it!

This was inspired (as usual) by the an RPG project I will one day pick up again! It's been on hold for months now because I haven't had the time for it but I still love drawing symbolic scenes from the plot I came up with.

As you may have guessed the scene depicted here is meant to represent possession; the girl has just snapped out of a trance after an episode where her alternate ego had taken control and made a mess.

There are 2 things I am already aware of and will be changing at some point- firsly the magic circle. I am aware it looks rather tacky. And secondly the black border needs tidying up.
